Why we are proud of this
Rock Solid was engaged to design and develop a new mobile application for Thredbo; Australia’s premier year-round resort. Thredbo offers a diverse range of activities throughout the year, including snowboarding in the winter and mountain biking and hiking in the summer.
The project involved a complete redesign of the existing app, with Rock Solid granted creative freedom to improve and streamline the user experience. The outcome is a sleek and modern app that loads quickly and is easy to navigate. Among its most notable features are intuitive maps of the mountain and village, alongside the capability to receive real-time updates on lift and trail statuses, weather conditions, live camera feeds, and event event results.
As a testament to our reliable partnership, Rock Solid continues to be engaged in the ongoing development of new, exciting features for the app, in addition to providing immediate support for any urgent issues that arise.
This project marks our second major consumer app into the Australian market, and we are immensely proud of the results achieved.

Interactive maps
Dive into the heart of Thredbo with our app’s real-time interactive maps. Pinpoint the exact locations of webcams, trails, and check the operational status of lifts with a simple tap. Moreover, the app introduces an engaging explore feature, highlighting village activities, venues, restaurants, and bars. Fancy a meal? Users can conveniently order their food in advance!
Live event results
Thredbo is renowned for its exciting competitions, and our app ensures you stay in the loop. Access start lists and live results effortlessly, ensuring you, as a spectator, never miss out on the action!
Real time view of the resort
The app utilizes a variety of statistics and graphs to provide users with a dynamic, real-time overview of lifts, trails, and weather conditions. Looking ahead, we’re excited to introduce features such as run tracking and the convenience of purchasing lift passes directly through the app!
